Sparky (One of Us) is running for City Council and he needs our help to get him in there.
We all know him as the former owner of Sparky’s, the bar in South Park that we used to gather for First Friday potlucks. And more recently as the inspiration behind the Sparky’s Roadhouse theme camp that appeared at FDLM ’07 “The Day the World Burned”
Even back when he was just a neighborhood shop keeper, he was active in the Golden Hill Planning Commission. Since then he has continued to do community service in the form of moderating several San Diego Burning Man Town Hall Meetings, and now he is stepping it up to the next level.
I know that a lot of you live in District 3 and even more of you know people who live in District 3. ()Map of San Diego Districts: www.sandiego.gov/citycouncil/
So, it would be great if we could start to let our friends and family who live in the area, know that he is running and a deserving of their votes.

He isn’t taking money from anyone, and he isn’t wasting money on printing signs for peoples yards. If want to support his cause, he recommends that you make your own sign for your front yard. He has many other great points as well that you will see on the website.
He will be throwing a picnic in Hollywood Park, in City Heights, on May 10th. Check out the events section on the website above for a description.
My house would be a great spot to leave cars and caravan over, as he is inviting the entire neighborhood out. (BTW Sparky currently works at a meet packing plant and is going to put out 20 lbs of Ribeye)
The picnic is from noon until sundown. (So I suppose that fire spinning is out, but flow toys would be cool)
This is certainly a family friendly event so bring the kids!
Hollywood park is very close to the house where Gaia, Kinglsey and Freejammin live but my place is close as well.

He is an outstanding human being and when I had to deal with the sheriff at FDLM, he was great and a very good person to have on hand.
1. he looked out for everyone in a big way
2. he didn't tell me what I wanted to hear, he told me what I needed to hear.
3. he is great with people. both one on one and in large groups.
4. he loves to listen to people, there story and there life.
5. he smiles all the time and loves deeply.
I don't live in district 3 but I would love to volunteer for you.

This day in the park is going to be a great time to come out and play with flow toys, and to bring the kids.
There is extra parking and a guarantee that you will find it if you come to my place first. -
