Re: Other then Amvets, Goodwill and other well know thrift stores
Wed, July 1, 2009 - 10:32 AMHi there,
Sometimes churches have shops where they sell clothing.. for example there are a couple in North Park where I have found some really cool stuff. Another option would be garage sales.. I always find great shit. Get the Penny Saver and they will list all the garage sales for the weekend but be sure to get to them early.

Wed, July 1, 2009 - 3:33 PMhottopic at the mall, various boutiques in OB, PB & MB are always great. We also have some great seamstresses that showed their goods out at Elysium a few weeks back, plus the lovely JaqD Wear! I know some of them take commissions for playa wear, some have stock on hand - another great place is to make it yourself if you have the gumption. The internet is always good if you are looking for something in particular.
Good luck! -

Re: Other then Amvets, Goodwill and other well know thrift stores
Wed, July 1, 2009 - 5:57 PMDare I give out a trade secret, but the Swap Meet is THE place to get all the odds and all the sods. I'm not talking about the middle aisle run of the mill knock off prada handbags and mexican wrestler masks swap meet ...I'm talking about the shanty town boarder stalls on the perimeter. The farther away from the main entrance the better. This is where all the fly by night weirdos set up shop. You have to dig a bit --- but you get some priceless gems for next to nothing. Its pretty much ruined me to "normal" clothing costs. When you're used to paying a buck for a shirt ... how on earth can you justify $25. So beware --- its is very...I repeat -- VERY addictive.
BTW -- We mostly go to the Kobeys Swap Meet in Sports Arena....but theres a big one in Spring Valley too. -
