Hey all....I just got here and totally love it....A friend is flying out from Seattle to visit this weekend and I'm looking for fun things to do all underground-style...
So far we're going to Disneyland (of course), the Laguna Arts fest, a channeling, possibly a nudie resort and I'm looking for parties and events...Where's the best place to be on the 4th?
I'm here for a week or so working on a mural in Encinitas...would love to plug into the community as I plan to spend a lot of time here...

Thu, July 3, 2008 - 6:04 PMWe are going to San Onofre's nude beach for the 4th. The only nude resort is Glen Eden, which is inland in the smog, an hour and a half from San Diego. Come to the nude beach! The only other nudist resort in San Diego county (Sun Island) was just sold and is no longer a nudist resort. If you do come to the nude beach, arrive early; the parking lot fills up by 10am. To get to the San Onofre nude beach, get off the 5 freeway at Basilone. Go to the frontage road on the ocean side of the freeway and go south for about 3 miles (past the nuclear power plant). go south until you see the last bathroom and park. Once you're down on the beach, walk south until you see naked people (about 1/4-1/2 mile). Happy 4th!
